suddenly you find your whole days blending together to create one endless and suffocating loop
so you find yourself trying to remember what made you happy,
but your brain begins to erase every memory that ever brought you joy

I had a therapist who once said that these states would go away,
which brought my mom relief is that mean that
in bad times there'd be good times
it also gave her anxiety because I meant that in the good times there would be bad times
it always confused me because I didn't really know what I meant, granted I didn’t realize until later waxing winning implied what I really applied
that these states are fixed, constant
and would remain with me for the rest of my life

Funny, that it never happens outside, or in a crowded barracks. It happens when you're alone, in a house or building; especially during the time of the witching hour. She would say, "When you are older, it will pass; it won't bother you as much at all". Never believed it then, and it never came to pass. Some people say that it isn't the space that is haunted, that it's within one's own self. Not sure either option is very comforting. This is a very strange place.
